Florida State Perseveres Through Injuries to Win Rivalry Game

On November 18, the hearts of Florida State University’s football fans dropped as they watched their star quarterback, Jordan Travis, be carted off the field. Travis, the redshirt senior, had led this team to an undefeated season as they were preparing to compete for a national championship. However, with the loss of their star quarterback, most fans had decided to count the team out. This was especially devastating since the Seminoles’ next game was against the University of Florida, a rival team that promised to be one of the most important competitors of their season.. The Seminoles now had to rely on Tate Rodemaker, a quarterback who received very little playing time in his career, to keep this team’s college football playoff hopes alive.

With Jordan Travis in attendance, the Seminoles got off to a rough start, trailing 12-0.  However, behind star running back Trey Benson’s three touchdowns, the team beat Florida 24-15 and kept their playoff hopes alive. They now shift their focus to Louisville, with this last game dictating their championship hopes. If they were to win this championship, this Florida State team would go down in history as having one of the greatest championship runs of all time.
